Build fees are once-off and quoted per project. The prices above reflect a standard scope. Complex or custom requirements are quoted separately before any work begins.
How payment works
30% Deposit
Due before your project begins. Non-refundable. Confirms your place in the queue.
70% on Approval
Due immediately upon your written approval of the staged preview. Your site goes live only after this payment is confirmed.
Monthly Retainer
Starts on your go-live date. Billed on the 1st of each calendar month. Cancel with 30 days written notice at any time.
Frequently asked questions
What does "content update" mean?
Content updates are text changes, image swaps, or minor additions that don't require structural changes to your site. Rewriting a service description, updating an image, adding a testimonial — these are all content updates. Adding an entirely new page or redesigning your layout requires structural changes, which are quoted at R600/hour.
Can I upgrade from Starter to Grow later?
Yes. You can upgrade to any tier at any time. If you upgrade mid-month, we'll pro-rate the difference. Your site remains exactly the same — you just get access to more bundled updates and priority support.
What if I need more updates than my tier includes?
Any updates beyond your monthly allowance are available at R400 per update. Or upgrade to a higher tier if you find yourself regularly needing more changes.
Do I own my domain and website?
Yes. You own your domain (registered in your name), and your website code is yours. If you ever leave Webrio, we hand over all files and access. There's no lock-in. You can move to another host anytime.
What's included in "domain and setup"?
We register your domain (if you don't have one), add it to Cloudflare DNS, and configure everything so your site goes live. Your domain is registered in your name. If you move later, you own it and can take it with you.
What about business email?
Business email is optional. You can use Zoho Free (included with all tiers at no extra cost), Google Workspace, or Microsoft 365 — your choice. We'll configure your domain's email records (MX, SPF, DKIM) so everything works correctly. Contact us to discuss which option suits your business.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel with 30 days written notice. Your site stays live until the end of that month. No lock-in contracts. If you want to keep your site running after that, you just need to keep the domain renewed — that's between you and your domain registrar.
What about POPIA compliance?
All Webrio sites are POPIA-compliant by design. We don't collect or store personal data on our servers. Contact form submissions go directly to your email inbox. No databases means no data breach risk.
